- This piece is full of repeated patterns, and a few repeated notes as well. Dynamics are on opposite sides of the spectrum, giving the feeling of a conversation.
- Teaching Tips
- Students may have a tendency to play too heavily on the repeated notes. Even though the main attraction of the piece is the change from forte to piano, encourage them to play a little lighter to keep them from getting stuck. Also, point out all the intervals used in the right hand. The left hand is based on two chords: I and V6. Students may recognize them from other places in different form.
